A few months ago, John and I stood at the Great Wall and took the first steps of what would become a 3,140km journey to Hong Kong.
At the time, the goal was simple: keep moving.
What we didn’t realise was how much bigger the journey would become.
Yes, it tested us physically — long roads, ancient mountain passes, coastal highways, exhaustion, and days where even the next step felt uncertain.
But the real story was never just about the distance.
It became about the people we met, the friendships we built, and the lives changed along the way.
The most powerful part of the journey was sharing sections of the run with nine students, watching confidence grow, friendships form, and seeing what happens when young people are taken out of their comfort zones and into challenge, community, and purpose.
Now, for the first time, we’re sharing the story through an exclusive behind-the-scenes film preview, capturing the untold moments from the road and the deeper ripple effect the run created.
🎥 Watch the pre-film documentary teaser below!
This is only the beginning.
The documentary is not just about running across China. It is about resilience, friendship, disability awareness, and the belief that shared challenge can change lives.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us.

But this evening is about far more than endurance.
You’ll also hear directly from the students who joined sections of the journey, sharing in their own words how the challenge transformed their confidence, friendships, resilience, and outlook on life.
